We are currently working on this page and will be featuring everyone on the Friday Sock Co. team. For now it's just Adam.
Adam Thompson was one of Calgary’s top 40 under 40 in 2018 and has awarded himself the prestigious Friday Sock Co. Employee of the Month for an unprecedented 55 months in a row. He’s pretty sure it’s a world record, but doesn’t want to draw any extra attention to it.
Adam started Friday Sock Co. in January 2015 after getting the idea for mismatched matching socks while eating a bowl of cereal. After his initial six designs, and a lot of hard work, he has grown his distribution to over 400 retail partners in Canada and the US. The Friday Sock collection and now includes socks for men, women, kids, as well as a new luxury men’s line, baby socks, and will be launching a Friday Hiking Club and Ugly Christmas Sock collection fall/winter 2019. Friday Sock Co has also made custom socks for a variety of companies ranging from Pete the Plumber, to Westjet.
Friday Sock Co. is a company committed to innovation and eco friendly manufacturing. Friday Socks are ethically made in Italy using OEKOTEX® Cotton and GOTS® Organic Cotton. Adam visits his four factory partners in Italy every January and continues to search for ways to be a greener company. This year alone Friday Socks was able to phase out plastic hooks by designing a 100% cardboard hang tag, and have also switched their plastic shipping envelopes to biodegradable poly.
When Adam isn’t building his sock empire, he can be found skateboarding, working on a newly purchased fixer upper by the lake, or having any number of grand adventures with his three year old daughter Ella.
